Stevenson Company, Inc., a Topeka-based sheet metal expert, is pleased to announce the promotion of lifelong Topekan, Mark Shughart, to Customer Representative. He brings thirty years of industry experience and has been a part of the Stevenson team for nine years.
“Mark works with our customers in an exceptional way, partnering in the design and installation of fabrications inside industrial plants,” said Joe Penningtion, president. “He takes promises seriously and always delivers on time.”
Mr. Shughart will manage various projects and guide team members, as well as lead safety training. While not at work, he enjoys riding motorcycles and spending time with his three grandchildren.
In 1986, Mr. Shughart trained as an apprentice at Pennco, Inc. He worked at Young’s, Inc. for seven years, rising to the position of Shop Foreman. He then joined Stevenson in 1997. In 2004, Mr. Shughart took a twelve-year hiatus to represent the sheet metal workers for Local Union 2 in Kansas City, Missouri. He returned to Stevenson Company in 2016 as a valuable member of Stevenson’s team.
